It looks very good! The idea behind periodization is to keep your body in a state of "muscular confusion". This is where the body is kept from being accustomed to a certain type of exercise which in turn forces it to develop more strength. The parctice of periodization also helps in the prevention of burnout.
I would prefer intensity cycling over periodization and I wouldn't make major changes in a routine until it becomes completely stale
