This is interesting. I used to have a program called cool edit. It is sadly no longer available but it offered a function that generated tones that stimulated different types of brain wave.

When I had myself commited I had a chance to ask one of the psych. Team about using sound waves to stimulate or repress certain types of brain wave. He said it was an interesting idea.
