Chin-ups and Pull-ups

    Is there a difference in these to exercises? The only one I can see is the grips Chin-up= palms inwards and Pull-up= palms outwards. Do these variations make a big difference in the targeted muscles? Also which variaton if any do you prefer?

    Chinups put a little more emphasis on the biceps while pullups put more on the lats.

    Do both.

    yeah thats right.

    pullups are one of the best exercises you can do for lat muscles. :)

    Chins and pull ups both work the lats equally, but pull ups are a little more difficult because the pulling position is slightly less favourable biomechanically. Chins generally use more biceps and pull ups put more stress on the shoulders.

    Pullups also train forearms. Look at them at the top position ;)
