    Hi Swampthing,

Zi Ran Men is what is known as an internal style, it translates as natural boxing.

There is a good explanation of the difference between internal and external here:

    http://web.singnet.com.sg/~limttk/neijing.htm

Though, that link is down at the moment, sure it will be up soon.

A friend of a friend is a teacher and if I remember correctly a lineage holder of the style, his website: http://www.whitecraneinstitute.com/ , I hear he always wins his fights, but at the end of the day effectiveness is down to you.

Also you may want to check with NZRic (Moderator Internal Martial Arts and Tai Chi Forums), I think he mentioned that website you gave before, and possibly that he studies something there.

    Good luck.

P.S. Here is a brief description I came accross:

Natural Boxing (tsuranamen) is a rare martial art which became famous because of "Magic Leg" Du Xinwu (Du was famous for his kicking techniques), one of the most prominent figures in Chinese martial arts in the first half of 20th century, personal bodyguard of Sun Yatsen (first president of republican China). Du learnt from Dwarf Xu (Xu Xiake) since childhood and became inheritor of Natural Style, an internal art which stresses importance of basic training, does not focus on set routines or combinations, but instead develops natural, instinctive responses.
