    Hi,

Can anyone recommend any clubs in Surrey that train women? I've phoned a few clubs in the area but they don't train women unfortunately!

    Thanks.

Have you asked for 1 on 1 lessons? Sometimes a coach will train people 1 on 1 for the extra money even though they would not include them in a regular class. Maybe they will train you outside the gym (eg in a park) if the gym policy is a problem. If you had a girlfriend who wanted to box as well that would give you a sparring partner and someone to share costs. That's all I can think of. Good Luck!

You'd probably have more luck trying kickboxing or Thai boxing gyms, if you were willing to give those a go. ..

Not sure where you are in Surrey?

Keddle's gym in Orpington, Kent is very good (a Thai boxing gym) and last time I went there they had an excellent female-only class.

    Good luck! :)

Thanks. I'm already doing kickboxing. I think I've found a boxing club in London that trains women.

    Good luck with it :)

Is that a normal thing for them to refuse to train women?
