Simple Minds - Glittering Prize 81/91 (best of) Can't listen to these guys without thinking about "The Breakfast Club", or seeing their MTV videos in my mind. They made some good music. Alive and kicking, See the lights, Don't you forget about me, All the things she said, Promised you a miracle.
Mozart. because of I did not have the headphones listing to Mozart on my other option is a meeting of the "She Woman Man/Husband Haters Club" that is going on at the conference table just outside my office
This became world famous a century after it was composed, as a sequence in Disney's Fantasia. It was never performed by orchestra during the composer's lifetime. Sad.
The Disney version is worthy in and of itself, not just the orchestral arrangement which I believe is later 19th century, but this epic animation sequence by Disney artists at the dawn of World War II....amazing.
Simply Red - Best Of Simply amazing music. Great blend of pop, jazz, and soul. Holding back the years, It's only love, Your mirror, Angel, The right thing, Stars. Been a while since my last listen to red, sounds real good.
Wow, this is sure interesting! Dude takes popular songs, and reworks them into a minor key, making something radically different from the original.
Singles - Soundtrack I never seen the movie, But I love the soundtrack. Takes me back to the early 90's...cut-off jeans, Flannel shirts, and hiking boots. Pearl Jam - Breath, State of love and trust. Paul Westerberg - Dyslexic heart, Waiting for somebody. Soundgarden - Birth ritual. Mother love bone - Chloe dancer/crown of thorns. Screaming trees - Nearly lost you.
No, I can't understand it all, but I don't have to. I've been a fan since 1993. I love her voice. And I geek out at how she mixes happy music with depressing lyrics. ::hearts::
Somewhat diverse at the moment , twenty one pilots (blame my eldest) And Tom Petty , mainly As well as the usual mix of “classic rock”
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Superstition Early 90's Goth/Alternative. Really lioke her voice, and musically some good songs. Shadowtime( a song full of great melodies and hooks), Fear of the unknown, Kiss them for me, Cry.
She went to see them earlier this year , so I had a listen to some of their stuff and stressed out hooked me.
