USTU ANNOUNCES 2004 JUNIOR OLYMPICS AND SENIOR NATIONALS TO BE OPEN
    EVENTS

USTU’s Governance and Management Committee has announced that the 2004
Junior Olympics and Senior Nationals will be open events, restricted to
U.S. athletes. These athletes will not have to qualify for either
    event.

With respect to 2004 Junior Olympics, athletes with the following

    credentials may compete:

    Belts: Green Blue Red Black

    Ages: 6 – 17

    Membership: USTU Competitive Membership required

**Athletes turning 18 in 2004 are not eligible for Juniors.

For questions regarding state competition issues, please email
ustugovernance@usoc.org. For questions regarding national events,
please contact the Events Department at the USTU office.

Its just my opinion, but this really lessens the credibility of the national event and all but strips any importance from winning your state.
