After visiting Slip's lounge I thought I'd open up a Rock room. Any style old and new welcome. Here goes. For those about to ROCK. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H33vSYapNNs"]AC/DC - For Those About To Rock ORIGINAL VIDEO - YouTube[/ame]
One of my all time favorite rock bands... very underrated... to the point that I never met most people who heard of them! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzJz9TIbjv8"]Paw - Jessie - YouTube[/ame]
and again: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ya9Hr40v1k8&feature=related"]paw - Death to traitors - YouTube[/ame]
here's another band that I thought was brilliant: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySzrJ4GRF7s"]Soundgarden - Fell On Black Days - YouTube[/ame]
and anything J Mascis does is brilliant: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQZmrdwK7YM"]Dinosaur Jr. - Feel The Pain - YouTube[/ame] as always the videos to almost any song are almost always crap... so best just to listen and not watch.
and I could never figure out if this band was one big **** take... even if they are... they still rock. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRYNYb30nxU&feature=related"]The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love - YouTube[/ame]
The Darkness were serious, then just disappeared. I believe Justin Hawkins went off the rails. I think he has just reunited the band.
Here's Lemmy  [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iwC2QljLn4"]Motörhead - Ace Of Spades - YouTube[/ame]
Wow. That blows me away. I thought for sure this was some big joke. But no matter what it was they rocked. Here's one that for all it's anthem rock sound... just flat out rocks. Weird because when I was a kid this stuff was HUGE. I hated it. It took me a lot of years to come around to it. It's just great, feel good anthem rock and that's respectable. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBEXSiFzOfU"]Journey-Dont Stop Believing - YouTube[/ame]
and always been an Iggy Pop fan... surprised he lived through it all... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIwgWK3xnUo&feature=related"]Iggy Pop - I Wanna Be Your Dog. - YouTube[/ame]
and this one is gettin' played ad infinitum at the local... and I'm good with that! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLhN__oEHaw"]Iggy Pop - The Passenger - YouTube[/ame]
One of my favorites that nobody has heard of Magnum They can rock [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hnpYXU3pao"]Magnum - Kingdom Of Madness (HQ) - YouTube[/ame] They can do epic 80s ballads [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaxkWU4g2lg"]Magnum - It Must Have Been Love - YouTube[/ame] And songs that make you think a little [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00O-9fWTTwo"]"Les Morts Dansant" Movie. Song:Magnum. Video: School project. - YouTube[/ame] The last made me think a little more about the consequences of war as a teenager in the 80s , when my frames of reference were old British war films and Rambo.
Here's some stuff I really used to like... out of Boulder, Colorado. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuUNfC3tTI8"]Big Head Todd & The Monsters - "Bittersweet" - YouTube[/ame]
