its still a mace regardless of how large the head is or hwo short the handle is. maces were rather short weapons any ways. Maybe you think i mean flail? you could also class weapons on how they balance and how htey would strikeas well as sive and length ie impact weapons/weapons blanced towrds the head Axes clubs maces and hammers and heavier polearms weapons blanced towards teh hand sticks swords staves light polearnms fistloads abnd becasue they need their own class flexiblwe weapons. Steel whips 3 section rods flails nuchucku
I suppose it could be classed as a mace, but it is unlike any other mace I come across. I interpret "mace" to mean a small rod or staff weighted at one end. You can also get polearm-type weapons with heads on both ends.
you looking for chinese or japanese weapons? i know that kung fu have some like the wolf teeth staff, hammer, and wooden stool ( im not joking bout the stool)
well technicallly all pole arms have heads on both ends someof htem just have a plain wooden head. AND goign by that a pollaxe would be an exotic weapon cause it has a spear head ,a back spike, a hammer head or axe head and a butt spike. Well there we go I think of mace as a metal club no matter the size and the rouhd hammer would still be stick or what not with a metal weight its jsut a really short mace.
i cant remember what it was called...but it was an ordinary looking knife. after you stabb someone you would press a button and the blad would split in three. the blades connected at the hilt. it was used for gutting
Buntot ng Pagi (stingray tail) It's the tail of a stingray, dried and used as a whip. Even when dry the whip still has the venom on it and the enemy gets it when hit with the whip. They say the wound takes forever to heal and you've never the same after getting a dose of the venom. Still quite popular in some areas of the Philippines. Folklore says that demons fear this weapon.
Mandarin Duck Razors, Found these by accident, was looking for Butterfly Swords and have to admit I didn't know such an odd weapon existed. Also called Yuen Yang Razors, anyone know anything more about them. As in are they really real? and what arts use them?
i find most of what you are talking about on http:\\martialartsmart.com/ look mainly in the chinese weapons section
Zero vector i don't se ehow those twon images u posted are the same weapons? The ones at the top remind me of a certain arcade game character.........
I once trained with a sword made from a swordfish noose.... In the Philippines tails of mantha rays are also used in the southern provinces.... By the way relatively long fishes can also be used to fight
For strange I would say dismembered limbs. For exotic.... Hmm, adouble sided sword with a human thigh bone as a handle.
With out a doubt this is a strange weapon, looks more like a coat hanger "The Nine Dragon Trident". http://64.224.111.216/archives/kki/1986/mar86/weapons/weapons.html
