To all of our UK MAPers, I read a fair share of british magazines and weight usually is referred to in stones. So for this yank, how much weight in pounds is a stone?

You should stop reading them Brit magazines as we do not spell right and they are full of rubbish. After all, we do recycle them as toilet paper after a days worth of reading.

 

Google has quite a good converter as one of its functions. If you just type "1 stone in lb" or "45 kilogrammes in lb" or whatever into the google search bar, it'll perform the calculation for you.

 

Will it translate rhyming slang for them too?

 

Why yes, it was too hard. Besides if I google it, I wouldn't have gotten any sarcastic comments back, and where the fun in that?

 

I LOVE all those British mags, much more entertaining than our boring ones. I couldn't live without Loaded, Bizarre and FHM!
