With winter being upon us what better time than to partake in a bit sake! Today there was an interesting little doco on the making of and culture behind Sake. http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/video/2011/nov/22/japan-kyoto-sake Enjoy! *note - interesting thing I noticed... at 3:30 in the doco... the Japanese man takes a ladle and pours some fresh water into his hand and then sips it. The English woman who's the host of the show takes the ladle and puts it directly to her mouth and drinks. A no-no in most Asian cultures. In many places in Asia they can all share one bottle of water and it never touches anyones lips - they're quite careful of this. But with Westerner's.. they shows up and get their lips and germs all over it. Doh!
