Dear all, 2007 will mark the return of the MAP Awards. For those of you who haven't been around for previous instalments, this is the time of year where members vote for the people you think deserve some mention for contributions to MAP, whether by being helpful, humorous or just plain great. It's been a while since the last set of awards, and even longer since the previous badges were issued, so it's about time these made their triumphant return! We're going to be opening the nominations for the awards probably over the weekend, so get thinking about who you'd most like to see winning the following categories: Funniest Post Most Informative Post (or thread if that poster contributed a lot of info in one place) Best Chatter (in the chatroom rather than on the forum!) Best Journal Most Helpful Member Best Newcomer (less than a year's membership) Best Photo Gallery Best MAPper (non-staff only) Best Moderator (TMs and GMs only) Note that TMs are eligible for all awards other than the Best MAPper, and GMs are only eligible for the Best Moderator Award. Admins will not be entered in any of the competitions. In previous years, the voting has been done on separate occasions for each category. This year I'm hoping to open up channels for nominations for a couple of weeks, then have all the voting happen in a week-long flurry of excitement. Ideally, we should have our 2007 Award winners by the end of May! Get thinking, get campaigning if you want, and maybe get one of Saz's brand new MAP Award badges! Good luck everyone!
I was waiting for the squid to be mentioned!!! *takes a bet on how many seconds it is till Moosey turns up on this thread and mentions squids.....* Good list there Aegis, should be interesting
Vote for me Sgt or the pics of you in fishnets and high heels will be made public Ahhhh can't beat a bit of blackmail
says you, when I now have video of you as well as pics ... though you DO look better in fishnets and high heels than I do!
err... what happened to last years? or was it the year before? I never got my awards dealy-bobs that go by my name.
Me neither, so I went out and bought myself something to console myself. Here, I got one for you too.
I seriously doubt so. The problem with the last awards is that the source files from the first year's trophies went walk-about and nobody got round to making new award pics. This year though, we have new awards and the files are being kept
Why can't you just adapt the new award pics to make badges for last year's award winners? Or isn't it that simple?
