This morning I passed my grading for Practitioner Level 1 in Krav Maga! Went through all the techniques in the syllabus etc. felt very comfortable with everything, so it was all good. I might write up a journal entry going into more detail of what we went through later. So anyway, I'm now officially a Practitioner Level 1 in IKMF Krav Maga! Yeah, only 9 more levels until I'm an 'Expert'...
Yeah, in the overall scheme of things it isn't a huge achievement, but it certainly is a good feeling to have successfully peaked the first, small hill in the MA journey... When I get a chance I'll write a journal entry going into what we had to do in a bit more detail. Thanks man, you should really join up soon, you'll dig it... Thankyou friend, it certainly does! The more I progress the more I realise that if I work hard enough, then perhaps I can in fact get somewhere in Martial Arts, its quite addictive!
Congrats on the accomplishment! I hope you continue your journey through your martial art with as much enthusiasm and determination as you are showing now. Good luck!!!!
Well done, if it makes you feel any better I think the first grading is the toughest thing for many MAists. Mine was the most difficult thing I've ever done, I was more nervous then than in my recent amateur MMA fights!
no probs. For those interested, I've written a journal entry detailing what was assessed in this P1 grading: http://www.martialartsplanet.com/forums/journal.php?do=showjournal&j=89#e943
Interesting info for any others attempting the grading. Quite comprehensive too again well done regards koyo
Thanks again. And the beauty of all the techniques we've learned, is that even at this early stage, they're all quite useful for potential 'real-life' situations, and relatively simple and logical in their application, I'm really enjoying it. I'm considering joining the police force as a career, and all this seems very useful towards that end also...
