Wasn't entirely sure where to put this clip so went for home turf!

Some of you may have read where I have mentioned my old Coach (and Simon's old coach) Guro Lee Banda before - here is some insight into how much he sought the best people to train with on his personal journey in JKD

Lee is a humble guy, a fantastic coach and a demon to fight!

And a good friend - enjoy!

Great stuff man, I wish I had rediscovered martial arts while I was still single or pursued boxing further when I was still practicing.

Hope I can get a pedigree just a fraction as impressive as your Hannibal, im still young there's still time right. ;)

    Great post.

    Thanks Hannibal.

I've seen photos and obviously knew the background and the stories, but I'd not actually seen the video.

I belieive Alesna was ranked No. 3 in the world, yet trained in a corregated roof topped barn in the sweltering heat.

Lee told me he had a punch bag (pretty much the only thing in the gym) with a massive dent from years of throwing that left hook.

One of Lee's prized possessions was a pair of blue boxing shorts with "Alesna" written across the front of them.

I got so much from Lee and he exposed me to some great instructors, all of who were and are such nice people. Bob Breen, Danny Guba, Master Sken, Percival Pablao and Mark Marshall to name a few.

Lee was the best man at my wedding and we had I think 5 world champions at the reception.

Some bikers turned up looking for somewhere to drink. I told them they could stay as long as they behaved. I think we were safe.

    Thanks for posting this Hannibal.

Lee always spoke very highly of coach Noel Tibay.

I have a magazine article with a picture of Lee with Noel and the full training camp.

I'll try and dig it out.
