H.P. Lovecraft understood how people get into religion so well. That is how he could create so convincing dark gods. I bet there are people out there that think Cthulhu really exists. These are the reasons why people believe in chi and gods because they are genetically programmed to do so. It's just our knowledge has advanced faster than our evolution and we are in the situation where we know the chi idea is inncorrect but our hardware is telling us not to believe that. The Bear.
What is the chi idea? and how is it that we know its incorrect? I’d also disagree with idea that “our knowledge has advanced faster than our evolution”, its pretty easy to see if one studies the basis of “knowledge” through a system such as jnana yoga (nothing mystical there, just pure logic) and then observe the behavior of our “modern” societies.
