According to http://www.insidefighting.com Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera is supposed to be fighting former Worlds Strongest Man Champ. Magnus Samuelson. I guess Samuelson has been training with Royce Gracie for a little while now. This fight is supposed to happen at Pride 27. I'll keep you guys posted.

I guess it might happen at Pride 27 Inferno, because Fedor will not be fighting. We'll see.

Fedor won't be fighting? Lucky break for Minotauro there. That last fight of theirs was a nasty affair, but maximum respect to Minotauro for having a head as hard as concrete!

Has Samuelson got a background in any MA before training with Gracie?

That rumored roster was WAY off, here is the real one:

On February 1st, Mark 'the Smashing Machine' Kerr will make his long awaited (re)debut to MMA as he faces Rings veteran Yoshihisa Yamamoto. Another interesting debut pits UFC veteran Gan McGee against tough Pride veteran Heath Herring in a "survival match," which means that the loser will be removed from the PrideFC roster!

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Ron Waterman

"Survival Match" - Heath Herring vs. Gan McGee

"Survival Match" - Igor Vovchanchin vs. Dan Bobish

"Survival Match" - Mark Kerr vs. Yoshihisa Yamamoto

Sergei Haritonov (Russian Top Team) vs. LA Giant

Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Dos Caras Jr.

    Murillo Ninja vs. Alexander Otsuka

I just thought about this, we have the UFC on Jan. 31st, the SuperBowl on Feb 1st, and Pride on Feb. 1st. That weekend is going to be packed with parties. :)

Survival match? COME ON! They need to stay away from the WWF type matches.

I can only afford one PPV, and that PPV will be the UFC, baby.

Survival Match is just what they call it. They have the same types in the UFC like the Rizzo vs Rodriguez fight, where fighters who have not performed well, or have had boring fights get one last chance to prove themselves. The funny thing about the Rizzo vs Ricco fiight was that they both were cut from the UFC roster after that horrible fight.

damn them! however, supernatural definitely takes precedence over that mediocre line up. what can i say, i've always been on the vitor bandwagon, although secretly at times. ;)

Ya, I think that the line up is pretty weak for Pride. It's cool to see Kerr back, but that's not a show headliner. CroCop is always exciiting, but he's gonna kill that punk Waterman. They rest of them are ok fights, but nothing that exciting. This UFC is definatly better.
