mentally beating someone

    Silent confidence is one way to go, but to opponents who are also as confident as you, badmouthing your opponent and trashtalking is the way to go.

    I didn't know that Tyson was famous for breaking the will of his opponents, since I haven't seen any of his fights, but I do remember him in one TV show speaking about Muhammad Ali and saying that he could never beat him, because Ali wasn't just beating you as a boxer but as a person.

    Ali was the exact opposite of silence confidence. He was the guy who was yelling "I am the Greatest, I am the king of the world!" :p.
    And boy he was great at the psychology game!!
    I always enjoy watching his fights and seeing him making the audience fired up and cheering for him. Taking heavy punchies like they are nothing while whispering in his opponent's ear "Is this all you got?". :p
