Best Training Log - Nachi (this was a hard choice, but her Goju specific posts won out for me) Best Thread - Dylan9d (for his 'How's everyone doing' thread) Best Newcomer - Jason Brinn (always polite, and has eased himself in to MAP life in a rather low key manor) Moi Award For Funniest Post - Deadpool (His recent 'Side Whistle' post in the 'something wrong with the layout' thread) Koyo Award For Most Helpful Mapper - Van Zandt (his detailed split/stretching instructions) Travess
Simon, is this a vote for nominations or the actual end vote and nominations in one? As in, is there going to be a second vote for all the nominees, or everyone votes here as the final vote? Sorry, I am just a little confused.
My votes are... Best Training Log - Aaradia Best Thread - Pretty in Pink's Depression thread Koyo Award For Most Helpful Mapper - Smitfire
Just a few days left folks, so get voting. You can cast a vote whether a long term member, or someone who only joined yesterday.
Best training log is a tough one as we have some great ones going, but Nachi never fails to inspire. Best newcomer is Vince. Nice to see us more mature members represented I'm still thinking on the others.
I really don't know! I wanted to take some time to go throught the threads and newcomers, but I didn't have time yet and won't have anymore now. For the best training log... this one is really tough as I have several I really enjoy reading! But one that is close to me, is inspiring and I regularly read it for the longest time is the log of Travess, so I it will be my pick (And thank you guys for the nominations! I am happy to know there are people who actually like to read it, as I just rant some if not all the time ) The most helpful MAPper - I agree with the nominations of Simon. There are others I a thinking about, but if I can only nominate one... I am not sure about the best thread, therefore I am going to choose one of the recent ones. And it will be Pretty in Pink's Going back to college, because I think it interesting to get to know the people here, mostly in positive way and about plans and challenges of the future. I am kind of curious what everyone here does for living etc. For these reasons I also like the "So there" thread, but individual threads like Pretty in Pink's seem more personal. I really don't know about the best post, though. So I am afraid I won't vote there.
Actually, I would have voted for the Technique thread too, but it doesn't qualify. It started before 2017.
Almost the last chance to vote, as tomorrow the awards get given out. I'm going to back the nomination for best thread to Pretty in Pink's "Depression Coming Back" thread. Honest and open and we need more like that.
I'd like to back vanzandt for most helpful poster with LFD and icefield as honourable mentions. LFD for physio and icefield for S&C posts. Best log is hard as all the training logs are great. They are great resources and we all keep each other motivated really well in my opinion. Might go for @Morik here due to the video content, openess to advice and honesty; even though he's been slacking off lately honestly I'd be happy with any of the regular loggers winning as they all bring something that the others don't have to the table. The depression thread from @Pretty In Pink is definitely a good shout for best thread so I'm going to vote for that. I think @Dead_pool for funniest posts as he has a knack for exposing cognitive dissonance and faulty reasoning with a wry barb that always raises a chuckle. His innuendo is usually on form too. Oh yeah and @Vince Millett for best newcomer too. I also would like to nominate @axelb for most supportive member and if that isn't a catagory it should be!
I appreciate being nominated for the vote of confidence that people benefit, if nothing else. Thank you.
I do apologise, as I obviously didn't press post reply when I did this yesterday. Congratulations to the following: Morik, who gets an award for his training log. Pretty in Pink, for best thread(s). Dead-Pool, who wins the Moi award. Vince Millett wins the best newcomer award. And you have very kindly awarded me the Koyo award, so thank you very much. Awards will last until the new year, when we'll do it all again.
