Hi Just wanted to know if anyone has any info on this School in Liverpool, UK. I'm just starting out, and not sure what the best clubs are. Sifu' name is James Roach.
From what I saw they teach Wing Chun. If that's what you want them pop along to class and see if you like it. There is also Hung Gar Kung fu: http://www.liverpoolkungfu.com/home
It's my first choice. Being short and stocky with an old shoulder injury, I don't think any of the kicking or grappling arts would be right for me.
Hope it suits. If you want an alternative, there is a Baguazhang group in Liverpool: http://www.yinstylebaguazhang.com/local_groups.html#Liverpool
I have private lessons starting in March in Hung Gar with George Ho. It's only one 2hr lesson a week, so was looking for a good school to complement this a couple of nights a week. The Hung Gar place in Liverpool will probably be the best place to look at.
That's fair, you know your body and its injuries best. In comparison though, I still grapple and Muay Thai and I pretty have no ACL in my knee. In a metal brace, so never say never. Lately I been grappling without the brace.
