Hello folks, I'm buying some boxing gloves for JKD tonight, 12oz ones, and am just wondering whether it makes much of a difference if I get leather or PU considering the price. here's the ones i've been looking at if you can just take a sec to look at em. Leather... Personally, i'd always choose Leather over PU. Leather is so much more durable than PU; meaning the gloves will last much longer.
Id say go for the icon ones. Personally id save up a bit and go for a good pair, im sure Yuki is gonna mention Twins or Fairtex, and ill mention Title. But then again, if there for JKD and wont be used a lot, then the icon should be fine.
Between the leather gloves, i'd say go for the leather Icon ones. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=97042&item=7152101523 Am I really that predictable? I recommend them because they're top quality gloves that have stood strong for a long time; not because im a Twins sales rep
You get what you pay for (generally speaking) if you buy cheap, in 6 months time you might wish you paid more. Gloves are meant to take a pounding, there is a reason why some cost more than others, a pair of gloves at £40 at arent more expensive than a pair of gloves at £30 if they last twice as long.
It is generally true. Although My pro-box gloves were the same price as my Title ones and they were starting to fall apart after like 5 uses. Pieces of crap.
5 uses?! That's not good lol - thats why you should get a pair of Twins  PU gloves are always the worst when it comes to wear and tear; they break so easily.
Well... I ended up getting thee Rex ones with skipping rope, slightly contrary to advice, lol, but I was told that they wear well... and I do need a rope too. Cheers for the comments though guys.
Oh aren't you the comedian I ment weather they last or not; how they feel on the heavy bag, weather they're comfortable or not, weather they instantly fill up with perspiration. You get the idea
