I plan on starting to train with a weapon once I find a good teacher and I had previously purchased two identical bamboo fighting fans and a kung-fu broadsword (wooden of coarse, I am not properly trained yet) and I was wondering which do you think is a better starting weapon?
I've always liked in broadsword. Fan might be a bit complex to begin with from what I've seen. I haven't done it so don't take my word for it though.
