I am so pleased with myself. Yesterday I passed my red and white belt grading! That's the first adult national grading, done in front of the chief insructor, and it accepts you fully as part of the organisation. It was a really tough one, lasting just over two hours. (longest red belt one for a LONG time) I've written more fully in my journal. The panel was K Pell Hanshi 8th Dan P Swallow Renshi 6th Dan Judo T Steward Renshi 3rd Dan M Thomas Sensei 1st Dan Congrats also to my boyfriend who passed his orange belt after an 18 month wait through injury. He persevered and won. And I won't forget my 14 year old training partner, who bypassed the intermediate grading and went straight for his adult yellow belt. I am so proud of them both, they went through it even worse than us.
