I think the San Juanico bridge is also the highest. One of our most celebrated stunt man jumped off that bridge for action movie. "Artistic film" huh. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't our national film review board give "Tuli" an "X" rating. And only after huge editing, -- I believe the director used the term "disembowelling", was it given a rating where the 'adult' public could finally watch it. BTW, "Tuli" means "circumcision" in Tagalog. From what I recall you had another scene aside from your duel, didn't you? Wasn't there a rape involved? Was there any "hubud" in the scene? Mr. Diego Vega, if you are like most of the board members of the film review who view all sexy things as vulgar, I am sad to think that you must have an unimaginative sex life. Circumcision is an important rite of passage for many Filipino youth, not just a simple surgical procedure. In some communities, it is a religous ritual. The movie is unorthodox because the young hero gets circumcised by a pretty lady instead of an old man, as in traditional practise. I was supposed to simply choreograph a few fight scenes. The first time I met the director was on the set. He took one look at me and said that I should also play the role of a Japanese officer. Being a good professional, I had to get into my character and act out the nasty habit of conquerors of raping the women of the vanquished. In my case, that particular emotional scene wasn't much. I tussle with the lady on muddy ground for a while, she picks up a rock and bonks my head. Enraged, I get my sword and call my lackey, a Japanese sentry with a bayonet. We try to teach the lady a lesson but than this tall, good-looking arnisador steps in and spoils our fun. Now if I was allowed to choreograph the rape scene, it would have been more artistic. I think I did an impressive job, though. The lady is now taking eskrima lessons with me. err...What was this thread all about again?

Ah, yes, the topic was about hubud ("stripping") techniques. For a moment, I thought I was already going off-topic. I don't know if anyone can do hubud in largo mano range using a single stick, but I am sure you can certainly do largo mano in hubud. Just make sure you are alone in your room, and lock the door and close the windows. I have seen people do weapons disarms (hubud technique) using two sticks. I have also seen a pretty lady disarm a man and even manage to strip him using only a smile. It was done at largo mano range.
Ola. Just wanna shed some light regarding words. PanAntukan is WRONG! (Unless you can state the dialect where the root word came from.) Just like in English, we also have prefixes and suffixes and even "mid-ixes" attached to root words. The root word is SUNTOK which means PUNCH. SINUNTOK meaning PUNCHED (past tense). SINUSUNTOK meaning PUNCHING (present). SUSUNTOK meaning TO PUNCH (future). The more common term for PUNCHING or BOXING is SUNTUKAN (the 'O' in the root Suntok becomes a 'U' when a suffix is attached.. yeh.. some funny rule). I don't know where "PAN"untukan came from (PAN is not a common prefix). They probably replaced the "S" in Suntukan to "PAN".... this grammar rule I have not ever encountered. But if it has been coined as such, it's gotta be Panuntukan with a "U" and not Panantukan which is meaningless. (Root word is not Santok isn't it? that doesnt mean anything). And it cant come from the Cebuanos either, coz suntok in cebuano is SUMBAG. (SOOM-BAG). Gisumbag (past). Ginasumbag (present). Sumbagon (future). Sumbaganay (punching/boxing/fighting by punching). If there is a SANTOK term meaning punching in another dialect, enlighten us. --- And hubad-lubad? lol... Hubad the others already have explain.. its getting naked. or already naked. it's a Tagalog term. In Cebuano, its Hubo. And now... Lubad is also Cebuano. Which means to fade. For example, your clothing has faded from washing... you can say it had 'lubad'. Or it can also mean a 'bleeding' of colours in terms of washings. hehe. if a red shirt had bled onto a white shirt, that was a process of Lubad. heeh Oh... hubad isn't really specifically from waist up only. hubad us hubad. nakey is nakey. many people here already got definitions of hubud and lubud right. which is to tie up and to tangle. I just found out that "hubo" is also a Tagalog term, also meaning "naked". The "'t" is a shortcut for "at" ("and"). So hubo't hubad is literally "naked and naked". And you know that we Filipinos like repeating words to signify superlatives. (eg. big = malaki. very big = malaking-malaki.) I guess this solves our terminology confusions... correct me if I've mentioned anything wrong. *switches off geek mode*
