Happy St. Davids Day - Even those of you descended from the Goddoddin Twll Din Bob Sais and other appropriate greetings
Something like.... Deeth Gooyl De-wee Sant With a few pointers: "th" is a soft "th", as in "the" NOT "thursday". Some people would say Gwill instead of Gooyl. "De" in Dewi would be pronounced like a sharp "e", as in "end", not the kind of "e" you find in "they". Some people make the "S" in Sant sound more like a "Z".
I've ony ever heard this up in the north. In the south and mid they all tend to ronounce it properly Em
Happy St Davids Day - my daughters had Eisteddfod in school yesterday and isn't it typical my youngest(4) normally stands on the stage and dosen't make a sound, but yesterday i was unable to go as i was in work, and she wins a certificate for 3rd place soloist and other parents said she sang her heart out! Gutted i missed it.
Happy St. David's day everybody don't drink the kool-aid I'd sing the song, but I've forgotten the words...
