Cobra Kai Kung fu?

    So I saw a business card on a bulitin board today for Cobra Kai kung fu. Is this a total joke or just a humorus marketing name for a legit system?

    I saw some school by that name show up in the listings of results for Pankration tournaments we used to have locally.

    I had the same reaction "is this for real?"

    I know nothing about them. I was looking up to see how some instructors/ students from my school did in that pankration tournament and saw participants from Cobra Kai.

    I wonder if they named themselves that because of the movie?

    Edit- did a google search. Things never die on the Internet. You can see Cobra Kai listed frequently.

    Ya, I have a fuzzy memory of there being a legit m.a. group by that name.

    Isn't Marc Laimon's BJJ group called Cobra Kai? Cobra Kai Kung Fu though? Come on.

    Yup. He runs Cobra Kai.

    Although only directly under him. Big Rigg trains under Marc but doesnt wear Cobra Kai banners (iirc)
