About half of these are on my playlist, too. Favorites from your list are Third Day, Newsboys, and Audio Adrenaline (I also like Supertones, Skillet, KJ 52 and Relient K). For my list, please add Caedmon's Call MW Smith Steven Curtis Chapman Comparing your list and mine, I'm guessing that you are < half my age (*sigh*). If you like rap/hip hop, may I suggest you check out 'Cross Movement.. Two of the leads from CM have solo projects out now, too.
I don't mind Christian rock bands as long as they're actually good and don't sing about religion every single song.
yeah, switchfoot is ok. its not bad as long as its not the same incessant lyrics over and over again, like rap.
"Jars" is a good band. They've got a great sound and they've had hits on both Christian and secular alternative radio.
That's unfortunate. It either means that you think Rock can't be Christian, or that you believe that "Christian" can't mean rock. There are hundreds of Christian radio stations with live audio now on line. Google a few up and have a listen, then please tell me what you think about some of the bands and styles. a few: www.klove.com (nationally known station) www.wgts919.com (one of my 'home town' stations) yahoo music has a Christian music station online as well, but I don't know how good it is.
Mine favorites are as follows: Third Day, Toby Mac, DC Talk, Switchfoot. Lately though I've been listening more to techno than rock for some reason.
cool i though i was the only one that listens to it. I just recently started listening to KJ-52. And i really live POD! NC, are you in fayetteville? Im near Fuquay.
Didn't the pope say rock music was the devil? http://groups.google.com/group/soc.culture.lebanon/msg/4dc071f061fc0f4e?dmode=source
The best christian band ever (next to MXPX of course) is Haste the Day. http://www.myspace.com/hastetheday
I was hopping NOONE would AAAAGGHHHHH good ole cliff mr shiney nice...I wish they could find a major scandal on him ....the press have let us all down there
Sorry, but that's just based on your personal prejudice and your distorted view of what 'Christians are supposed to be like'. I really hate prejudice, in all its forms. The simplest cure is to step outside your prejudice and be introduced to those things that you previously were prejudiced about. Please, take the time to read the thread, follow some links to Christian Rock bands, and check out some of the groups recommended on the thread.
I think he should get off LSD asap. He still thinks we are in the 60s. Yes Rock is the Devil!: Runnin' with the Devil (Van Halen). One of my favourite songs. Gee, Eddie vibrates his guitar in this song: I live my life like there's no tomorrow And all I've got I had to steal Least I don't need to beg or borrow Yes I'm living at a pace that kills Runnin' with the devil Runnin' with the devil I found the simple life ain't so simple When I jumped out on that road I got no love, no love you'd call real Ain't got nobody waiting at home Runnin' with the devil Runnin' with the devil You know I, I found the simple life, weren't so simple, no When I jumped out on that road Got no love, no love you'd call real Got nobody waiting at home Runnin' with the devil Runnin' with the devil Runnin' with the devil Runnin' with the devil CG.
