I know I've asked how many classes a week do you go to and everything, but I was just curious, how many hours a week of training do you actually do. I mean in and out of the dojo? Yes, I promise this is the last time I ask anything related to how much you train.
I always wonder if people make these threads so they can compare sizes... lol But then I can understand it's always nice to have a basis of comparison. Monday: 2hrs - Jujitsu Tuesday: 4hr - (2hrs gym, 2hrs kickboxing Wednesday: 1.5hr - Boxing Thursday: 4hr - (2hrs gym, 2hrs kickboxing Sunday: 1.5hr - Bag work in garage
thats a whole lotta training you do yukimushu... i do: 1.5 hours tuesday 1.5 hours thursday some hours sunday (variable) thinking of picking up an extra 2 hours on monday or wednesday. (btw this is aikido)
Well, I guess 4 hours a week in the class room and probably that same amount out of the class. To me that really isn't that much tho. I think that I should be doing a lot more. To Thomas and Kickchick, how much do you recommend to your students that they should train outside the dojang?
Oh God! thanks for reminding me, I need to go perfect my Saifa Umm, lets see..(only includes set classes) Tuesdays: 1 Hour Wednesday: 1 Hour (Gymnastics, my coach does Shaolin Kung Fu, so I work with him.) Saturdays: 1 Hour And the amount of spent practicing and/or randomly shadow boxing add about 2-3 hours per week.
1 hour for 3 days a week also. Plus workouts on my own at home, don't really time myself, just quit when I feel i've had a good workout.
hmm before i got injured. it was.. monday- 1.5 hours wednesday - 1.5 hours saturday - 1.5 hours sunday - about 2 hours or more. and some bagwork or gymwork on the days i dont have a class
when i train for competitions, my friends and i train 6 evenings a week (1,5 hours), 2 times a week we go to the fitness center (1 - 1,5 hours depending on what we are doing), we go jogging 2 times a week (several kilometers, the time varies) lately i haven't competed as much as i have before because i teach. but i train every day, except Sun, sometimes in the dojang (1,5 hours), sometimes as the fitness center (1 - 2 hours), or at home (1 hour). it all depends why you are training, what goal you want to achieve.
