    One of the schools near me teaches Aikibujitsu (I may have murdered the spellin) Along with Kendo. I attended a Kendo class and thought it looked great, but I want to learn a hand to hand MA as well. Has anyone ever heard of this MA? Any opinions on it? It seemed (From my VERY limited perspective) to maybe be a form of Aikido.

    I know it only as a variant of aiki-jujutsu. The prefix "bu" indicates that the school makes spiritual teachings an important part of the curriculum, and tries to apply the martial art to one's entire life.

    The evolution is
    Jujitsu ---> aiki-jujitsu ---> aiki-bujutsu ---> aiki-budo ---> aikido.
