It's getting to be around that time...and 2010 is upon us all! It's wild, I was talking to my wife Susan last night and I noted that - back in 1985, or even 1995, we weren't thinking about the year 2010! It was more like...1999 was going to be the big hit! Well, 1999 passed and so did Y2K... Now, the year we make contact - 2010 (Our plan is to watch that on the eve of our new year) Resolutions, Resolutions, Resolutions. I like to think of it more as "Setting my intentions" for the year...as I do every day. My personal "Kuk Sool" -"Intention" for 2010 is... (I haven't decide yet) but feel free to set yours now.
#1 Add 2 female only self defense courses, one ages 5 - 10 and one ages 10 and up. #2 Go to Canada next summer. #3 Get the old A/C system replaced. #4 Get my bunions removed. Nah, just kidding, I have no bunions, I hardly wear tied shoes. Unjee
I have a bunch of goals for 2010. First, no more new injuries. I have enough old ones to deal with. In no particular order. Hip flexability is a big issue for me. Gotta work on that. I would like to be able to do 1 set of 20 pullups, and 5 sets of 12 Continue working on hand strength, particularly the thumb. Close the COC #2 gripper for 5 reps. Not very specific but continue with the aggressive fitness routine that I started this year.
Keep healthy habits (exercise, watch my eating) as my Mom's illness progresses. Keep my asthma controlled Try to stay in practice. Make it to a tournament (probably St. Louis again) and seminar.
Increase hip flexibility, promote to JKN, and increase resistance in training so it encompasses the majority of my training time. "eat more chocolate and cakes" I thought perfection of Shillelagh il hyung would come before that
Years ago, I had some absolutely decadent chocolate truffles made by some famous and noteworthy chocolatier, but now I'm drawing a blank as to the company's name. :bang:
