A good example of just application of the law in the UK: a motorist sees a woman being stabbed to death, he runs the attacker over and kills him, is arrested on suspicion of murder then released without charge after the police review the evidence.

Indeed. He needed to be arrested. It needed investigation. And it was deemed he had acted within the law.

 

I wonder how the "you can't even look at a burglar without getting sued" crowd are feeling about this story?

 

It probably wouldn't make it onto their favourite tabloid.
