Found this news item on the BBC website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/5384044.stm I expect that, for a lot of people like myself, "You Only Live Twice" was our first real introduction to Japan's ninja. I remember watching this film as a kid and even now it's still my favourite James Bond movie, even though it's got more cheese than the Dairylea factory. I even went out and bought the original book (which is almost entirely different to the movie in many respects). You can't beat the sequence when all the ninja in bright jumpsuits come rappelling down through the false lake into the hanger.
The book is really good Always been a fan of Fleming's writing. You only live twice is one of my favorite Bond movies as well, but I always thought Bond looked too funny in that ninja suit
