Yaw Yan

i've noticed some yawyan kampilan kickboxing school several places in las pinas and binakayan. are these schools certified/authorized yawyan schools? and what does it mean by kampilan?

 

kampilan is the name of the gym/ club. i remember at pinoymma.com they said they had yaw yan + dekiti tirsia serrada escrima + some form of wrestling.

 

There is also Yaw-Yan Ardigma in Makati ...

 

Makati gym is currently the headquarters of Yaw-Yan.

Yaw-Yan Kampilan in las pinas is legit. it is under sir rene ross.

 

hope you'll find a yawyan gym where you land eh bro!

or go over to rob's and get a beating once in a while

 

visited yawyan pasay yesterday. it's fine but a bit far from my location and I feel i won't be able to attend regularly. Will try to visit some of the Kampilan schools (las pinas & cavite) one of these days.
Is Kampilan's training program the same as other yawyan schools? i've learned that Mr. Ross is also a Master of DTS. Is Kampilan a hybrid of YY and DTS and some grappling?

not from what i hear. they have dts and yy and grappling.
i don't think it's taught "blended".

 

each art is taught differently. Kampilan is the name of their group. they are not a hybrid mix-all-arts-together group. They have many arts in their training team but studies each one separately... As a trivia, they carried muay thai a few years back - ESC1 era.
