50 or 70 U$ per WEEK is crazy expensive for China.( You could probably pay for a discipleship somewhere for that kinda cash).

Especially in light of reading folks' opinions that it's not a place to go if you have much experience.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve got nothing set in stone yet. I’ve been doing Kung fu for 15 years so have a bit of experience although I still don’t class myself as good, or even mediocre!

Appreciate that that money in Chinese terms is a lot but lots cheaper than the really commercialised shaolin temple and associated international
    Schools.

So where do people recommend because I’ve been searching for years for somewhere over there and have struggled to find one?

I’ve read Adam hsu books and have struggled to find where those masters teach in China (and that’s assuming they are gd!))

Any reason why China? (apart from the obvious Cultural inclinations).... I've not heard one good thing about training in China in regards to wushu.

Yeah the cultural aspect - would really like to experience it as a whole, not just Kung fu but the lifestyle.
I’m a bit torn to be honest, would like to experience the culture, improve my Kung fu and also improve my sparring.

Am open to suggestions tho, so if you have any recommendations please let me know :)

What style do you train currently?

From what I know the "good" kung fu teachers in China will need an introduction to you - you cannot "pay to play", and those places that you can are typified as tourist traps for guillible gweilo
