    That's quite a compilation they list. I love seeing the similarities between different arts, especially grappling arts. Ankle picks, arm drags, firemans, hip throws. So familiar, yet so different. It's fun seeing how each art takes the technique and makes it their own.


    Thank you for this post I will be taking these to share with some of the guys I still grapple or wrestle with. (I just had to do it)

    i'd love to train sumo.
    it has such good application against the cage.
    i love seeing similarities too.
    its cool to see the variations.

    Sumo Rocks! I would have loved to learn Sumo.

    I was stationed in Japan while in the US Marines in 1973 and 74. Followed all the time on TV and even had some posters of my favorite wrestlers. Takanohana and Takamiyama. Takamiyama was the 1st American to win the Emperor's Cup and I think he might have been the first foreigner.
