I hope they get it - there is no reason why not

They've got weightlifting, wrestling, judo, and TKD, so why not boxing?

I don't see why every Olympic sport shouldn't have both male and female events.

I'm trying hard to think of a sport which should only be open to one gender, but I can't think of a single one. (Not real sports, anyway.)

If women choose to do boxing then why shouldn't they be able to do it at the highest level? Provided the standard is high enough to be ready for inclusion at the Olympics then get it in there.

The last time I went to see some professional fights the first bout of the night was two women. It turned out to be the best fight on the card. The rest of the fights were just variations on the favorite beating up an opponent but those girls were good and they were fun to watch because they were evenly matched and hungry. I'm all for it.

Whatever happened to Laila Ali and Ann Wolfe?

Haven't heard much about them. It would be interesting to see women boxers like these competing in the Olympic games now, since the Olympics are opening up to women boxers soon???
