wingdings everywhere, fonts dissappeared

just about everything is covered in wing dings, i went to properties to assign fonts to different things and i can only change it to system and fixed sys i changd what i could to systrem and it half fixed the problem, all the rest of the fonts have dissappeared of the fce of the planet. this has happenned before and i reinstalled windows but i dont want to have to do this if it can be avoided

 

Rather than a windows re-install try a windows repair. Run setup from your windows CD and you should get the option.

i dont know how to do a screen shot, i would try to repair it using the cd but i can read anything because its in wingdings

 

Boot your PC from the CD - this will bypass windows and give you readable install or repair options.

 

it asked me what the admin pass word was but i dont know it, never knew it. i tried my user passwordword, my user is the only admin rights one
