    How many reps per set?

Might be worth doing more sets and less reps. Gives your wrists more rest time.

But, just keep at it, rest till they feel ok again and gradually build up reps/sets.

im only doing 10 reps! i can already feel my push ups getting easier! :)
iv decided to lean on the matress onstead of the metal bar that should stop my wrists beding round the bar too much

Am I just being stupid doing around max reps at a fast pace for pushups/squats 1 set every hour every day? It seems to work for me...I progress fast and total reps increase pretty fast with this. I don't tend to get sore later on. Oh, and I increase max by 1 rep every day, and by 2 if I take a day off. It's not even strictly done every hour on the hour...just whenever I feel like it. It can be 10 sets, 13 sets, 5 sets, whatever I feel like.

Is 5 sets with half your max every day the ideal, as mentioned by someone earlier?

Try 5 sets of 5, grease the groove as they say ;)
