These are the best sticks I've used - not cheap I know but heavy and durable. They make most commercially available sticks seem like toys rather than weapons.

I bought a pair from warriors den early last year. Good solid rattan. They've held up nicely. So far, a few flakes at the 'seams', but they havent gone hairy yet, and still got that great 'burnin' smell. :)

I bought 3 pairs at a 'budget' supplier, and out of the 3 pair, 1 appears to be skinned, and laquered (thats now as fuzzy as can be), and the other 2 pairs were majorly sanded down (very thin skin), and are splitting and hairy. Both are heavily taped at this point. They were of the 'decoratively carved' variety.

Have used both types of cane and both hold up well. Good quality.

    I am not too sure....
Actually my Cinco Teros master and GM gave me some BAHI sticks that were made in the province, I guess they came from Bicol....
Alex Co sells some but it is not the same quality.... My CT master brought me also superior rattan sticks from a place in Quiapo maybe they also have some good BAHI..... i will ask when I'll see them soon..

    Thanks.
