    Yup, maybe not a newspaper. Perhaps a good sized Magazine, like maybe a Playboy magazine? :eek:

    Normal rattan for class work with tape on them so they last just that bit longer.

    For mucking around in the garden I use two snooker cues. :D

    Just get two of them - unscrew them and use the heavy end for really working your forearms! Take it easy on your wrists though.

    for training with a partner, i use rattan. nothing fancy, just plain old rattan.

    Kamagong for power practice.
    Rattan for new stuff.
    rattan to practice new stuff.
    Kamagong to practice old new stuff.
    NOthing hurts more than hitting yourself in the head with kamagong.
    There's no one to get mad at!!

    Juego Todo Stay thirsty, my friends.

    Pretty much like everybody else:

    -7/8" or 1" x 28" or 30" rattan bastones (solo o doble) for striking targets, partner drills or sometimes for solo drills (ONLY with the skins left on the bastones);

    -7/8" or 1" x 28" or 30" kamagong or galvanized pipes for power & endurance development (great for wrist & forearm training) via drills or carrenza;

    -1" x 20" to 26" rattan for sparring to train footwork for close-quarter combat when using shorter olisi;

    -kamagong garotte or standard bahi for carrenza or solo drills;

    -diameters over 1" for power training with raw rattan (and the wonderful blisters from the stickiness of the baston), via impact & drills.
