With new years resolutions just around the corner, I wanted to make a thread to give us all the chance to set some (edit for slipthejab)FITNESS GOALS in stone that we want accomplished by the end of 2006. No vague goals are allowed, i.e 'I want to lose weight', or, 'I want to be stronger'. They must be clearly defined goals. Basicly by the end of the year i want to re visit this thread and be able to tick or cross whether I have achieved them or not. My goals for new years eve 2006 1) I want to have closed the #3 captains of crush gripper 2) I want to be able to chin with 32kilos for 6 clean reps 3) I want to shoulder press a 40kilo kettlebell for 6 reps
Added 30 lbs to my power clean Do pullups with 45 lbs strapped to my waist for reps bench 225 squat 315 snatch 135
^You should be snatching much more than that if you squat 315. I think my max backsquat is around 285-290 with good form (havent actually tried). But my powersnatch is 165+. goals: snatch 200+, c & j 230+, 335 full backsquat, bodyweight OHP for reps, pull ups with 90lbs for a few reps.
To get to 170+lbs at about 10% bf. Bench 225+ DL 315+ Front Squat 200+ Some other miscellaneous stuff I can't think of right now. WEEE!
To gain at least 20 pounds. (I'm 165 right now) Don't care how it gets done. Oh.. And my blue sash in mantis and a new Mustang.
To echo my response to the similar, but slightly different, thread from last month, I'm shooting for: - April 2006 - 225 push press, 315 Sumo Deadlift. - June 2006 - Find 4 more abs somewhere, 19-inch arms with a 32-inch waist. - July 2006 - Farmer's Walk 100-pound handles 1.5 miles. - October 2006 - 100-pound DB Turkish Get-up, 275 Clean & Jerk, 275 Snatch. - Christmas 2006 - Compete in powerlifting meet. Also, by January '06 I'm "hoping" to run 1 mile in under 30 minutes. (Hey, you've got to make some goals easier than others, for perspective.)
Black Sash I would like my black sash by this time next year. I might be able to do that if I train the full 6 days a week and twice on Fridays(He is open twice on Fridays). Then maybe go on to weapons training. Not sure which weapon though.
Bench 300 Squat 350 Deadlift 400 Press 200 Shave badger 1 mile in under 29min! Slippy can't have all the fun and BeWaterMyFriend, I like easy goals, I'll have to think of many more of them!
By next year this time eh . . . . Run a 5 min mile Bench press 375 - 400lbs Squat 450 - 500lbs Deadlift a good weight . . . how much should I be able to do if I can squat 450? Well . . . that's how much I want to do. Get my arms bigger, and my calves bigger too : D.
Hmm, ideally; 170lbs, 8% bf 10 chinups w/ 45lbs Squat 220lbs (it sucks, I know) Deadlift 375lbs Bench 200lbs
Here are my goals, not as impressive as some, and there aren't any badgers in Nashville to shave soooo... Drop to 185 from current 195 lbs Expose some of those abs Add 10 degrees to my split </= 10% BF
180 degree sidesplits. Gain... 20-30 pounds. Squat 300 Deadlift 275 Bench 180 These will be tough goals for me. I'm a wimp.
Ummmm.... March-compete in first meet and total 1150 April-hit 190@9% BF and stay very close to here throughout the year April-compete in first Highland Games May-Snatch 210, clean 230, BTN jerk 265 (I'm humble) June-compete in second Highland Games Sept-compete in third Highland Games Dec-snatch 260, clean 275, BTN jerk 300, squat 5 bills, OH squat BW for 15 reps, front squat 3 bills, 250 push press
