I remember ages ago I used to see Paul Chen swords on ebay but nowadays, there is just a blanket ban on all weapons sales there. I even tried to sell on gumtree careful not to put any keywords like katana or sword in my advert but nope, can't advertise my second hand sword there either.

Any other suggestions before I give my PP away?

    In a club?

Unless it's worth mega money just hang it on a wall or stick it in the attic.

Swap it for a pair of trainers to your local Chavez

go on a rampage because your pornstar lifestyle is about to come to an end

Donate it to a local sword club. You'll know its going into safe responsible hands.

might just do that if i can't find anywhere to sell it. do you know of any such clubs in the central belt that will take it?

Ach any Aikido club or kendo club would probably be happy to take in an unwanted sword.

If you are genuinely stuck and want rid of it, I can take it away and find a safe home for it. I currently have 8 sword living with me.

I think you might want to be careful sorting out sword sales via MAP!
It's a UK based forum after all, don't want to run foul of the law.

Ideally I'd like to get some money for it, but failing that, I would prefer it went to someone responsible, either a martial artist or a collector. I'll let you know by the end of the month whether you can have it, be aware I live in Edinburgh though.

    I sent you a PM/email.

According to the site blades-uk.com, which is where I bought it from ages ago, the Practical Plus is a legal sword that does not require a licence to own, so I ought to be okay

    Dear all,

MAP does not endorse, nor does it recommend (or in fact allow) posting classifieds on the forum. One reason for this is because we don't have the facility, another is because we can not regulated it properly. This may become a feature in the future, but as it stands it is not.

Furthermore, selling weapons on MAP, especially when legal issues may be considered, is not allowed.

We would recommend you donate it to a martial arts club or verified (i.e. licensed if necessary) enthusiast.
