What operating systems does everyone use? I'll start: MS-DOS 6.22 (w/ MS Windows for Workgroups 3.11) MS Windows 95 OSR2, 98, 98SE, XP SP2, Vista Beta MacOS 8.6 RedHat Linux 6.1(kernel 2.2), 9(kernel 2.6), Fedora Core 4(kernel 2.6) Slackware Linux 10(kernel 2.6) PalmOS(don't remember version, on Palm IIIe)
May I suggest you seperate Windows NT from Windows 2000? They are very fundamantally different systems.
All in one machine! What the hell do you run? A NASA baby? Win XP SP2 in this box. Note: you should have split Win XP into SP1 and SP2 My laptop specs: Asus A6VC Intel Centrino Pentium M740 1.7 GHz 60GB HDD 512RAM
I wish. Though many of my machines have multiple OS's on them (One has DOS w/ win 3.1, Win 98 and RH Linux 6.1), I must confess that I collect old computer systems and see how hard they can be pushed.
Didn't see that a user clicked on MS-DOS. Who the hell uses MS-DOS in the XXI century. I can't be anyone other than a troll.
Actually I still use MS-DOS for some things. I have a bird-watch record keeping program that does not work under any version of Windows. Also I keep that computer up and running as the "emergency computer". Nothing like a 25 Watt power supply on a 22MHz 486! And also last month I saw a buisness that was still running DOS on old 286's. The applications that they used ran fine under it, and they lacked the need to put out money for new systems - it was still economical to keep running the old things!
