    Bush - Razorblade Suitcase
Strong 2nd cd by Bush. Overall I think 16 stones a better set of songs, this one starts strong but the last 3 or so songs kind of lose steam. Greedy fly, Swallowed, Insect kin, Cold contagious, A tendency to start fires, Mouth.

    Rush - Permanent Waves
This is the album where Rush started to achieve some commercial success and gain some mainstream popularity. The album peaked at number 4 on the U.S. charts. The spirit of radio, Freewill, Jacob's ladder, Entre nous, Different strings, Natural science.

Michel Camilo & Tomatito - Spain
Camilo is a great Jazz Pianist and Tomatito is a legendary Flamenco Guitar virtuoso. They combine on this disc to make some beautiful, amazing music. They made a couple more of these duo recordings but this is the only one that I have. Spain, Besame mucho, Two much/Love theme, A mi nino Jose, Aire de tango.

    Rush - Moving Pictures
Rush had been building a solid fan base for some time by 1981, even tasted a little commercial success, but this was the one that busted the floodgates wide open. I was a sophmore in high school and finally even the chicks were listening to my fave band. Many would rank this as their best album, would be tough to argue. Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, Yyz, Limelight, Vital signs. Summer of '82, my best friend had his license and access to his moms car(with a cheap cassette player and cheap speakers). We must have played that tape a million times over that summer. Takes me back.

    Candlebox - Candelbox
Good debut from these guys. Like a lot of bands from that era they got lumped into the "Grunge"label. A little Grungey sounding but just good rock music to me...a little remenecent of Tesla. Don't you, Far behind, Cover me, Rain, You, No sense.

    Candlebox - Lucy
After a strong debut cd the boys follow-up with an even better 2nd disc. They didn't do much of note after this one I believe, but this is a good piece of work. Simple lessons, Drowned, Best friend, Butterfly, Understanding.

    Rush - Signals
9th studio album from these masters of Rock. Released in 1982, Rush sounds a little modern for the times. Although Rush had used keyboards/synths before it was usually a little more space-age/science fiction sounding, this time they use synth programming/coding for a more modern(for the time) sound. Still a great Rush album with classic songs. Subdivisions, The analog kid, Chemistry, Digital man, The weapon, New world man, Losing it, Countdown.

If I Were A Carpenter - Various Artists
As a child of the 70's i grew up listening to AM pop/rock radio and the carpenters were in rotation on the playlists. These classic songs were written by some legendary lyricists of the era( Leon Russell, Carol King, Paul Williams, Bacharach, and Richard Carpenter). This 1996 tribute cd features popular Alt-Rock stars of the time covering these classic tunes. The Cranberries(close to you), Sonic Youth(superstar), Matthew Sweet(let me be the one, Cracker(rainy days and mondays), Dishwalla(it's going to take some time), Grant Lee Buffalo(we've only just begun).Any Carpenters fan or 90's alternative fan should check this one out. Any fan of both should already have it.

    The Cars - Greatest Hits
I was in Jr. High when these guys first came out. They had a fresh sound that seemed to appeal to everyone. They really were New Wave/ Alternative Rock before those terms were being used. A ton of hits and great albums. Just what I needed, Touch and go, Let's go, Drive, Magic, Good times Roll, Shake it up.

    Rush - Grace Under Pressure
10th release from the boys. First album produced by Peter Henderson, first not produced by Terry Brown. No acoustic guitars or slower ballads. Rush had definatley entered the video era and were pushing a little more modern sound without sacrificing quality musicianship. Distant early warning, Afterimage, Red sector A, The enemy within, The body electric, Kid gloves, Red lenses, Between the wheels.
