what are some good sayings about respecting your weapon?

I've always been partial to "respect your weapon" personally.

You could probably adapt the wartime saying with "there are no atheists in a knife fight" or something along those lines.

 

A sword is never a killer, it is a tool in the killer's hands (some old Roman guy)

In the spirit of my last post, go to a shooting range. Toddle downrange to pick up your targets when the line is "hot". Turn around holding a firearm and let the barrel sweep half the people there. Pull out the hipflask and take a snort while you're shooting.

I can guarantee you will hear lots of memorable sayings about respecting your weapon from the Range Safety Officer. You will not be able to publish most of them on MAP
