Is there any sword styles around the gwynedd - colwyn bay areas of north wales. i know that there is a iaido class in porthmadog, and there is a fencing class in bangor - but that is students only. anyone aware of anything else
Hi jonsey, I'm afriad I don't know of anything in western swordsmanship in that area. If western sword is what you're interested in best way to start is form your own study group. The Bear.
I've been racking my brains and can't think of anyone. I'll ask around. Personally I'd turn up at the Uni fencing class and try and blag my way in there,
Yeah, that's a good idea if there isn't anyone around. The nice thing is that the UK is reasonable small, so you won't have to travel far to find someone to study with. Then you get some wasters or blunt swords (at least two!), and once you find a training partner, you've got a study group started. Good luck! Best regards, -Mark

North Wales does it again! It's surprising how many clubs and gyms there are in this little strip of North Wales dedicated to the harming, killing and maiming. Restores my faith in humankind!
