    Hi bigevil...

You may find a starting point to groups, books and stuff through these links:
You may even want to look around the previous posts on this WMA forum for contacts on this weaponry.....

I have a little page up that shows some of the battle axe research I have been doing on the side of my regular martial interests. I need to retake all of the pictures with better form but at least you can get some type of idea.

The dane axe was-acording to my experienced friend; Colin Richards used very much like a spear; a lot of thrusting, and not the Quarterstaff-way of fighting that I once thought. (With a dane-axe you can thrust, chop and hook, and it is a very nice weapon to have in the battleline; assisted by long spear that can exploit the openings that the axe makes!

Thanks...yes I did make them but they are deadly! They weight too much entirely to be used for more than form work. I have to make some with leather heads for bouting.

I had to take a break with most of my time being used in preparation for the ISMAC in Lansing this past weekend. Now that that is over I have some free martial time until October when I am teaching at the WMAW in NY......hopefully in a year or two I will be able to start presenting what I am working at during the various conventions.
