After recently, moving I discovered quite a number of weird and wonderful training aids had found their way into my possesion.

    Hand grips,
    Power ball (wrist exerciser)
    Dnya-Bands,
    Bar/Dumbell 2 sets,
    Swiss Ball,
    Bullworker,
    Electronic ab worker,
    Bullworker,
Funny bullworker type iron bar that you bend in the middle,
    Pulley system fo leg stretches,
    One heavy bag,
    2 skipping ropes,
10 assorted types of sparring gear (ranging from 8 and 10 ounce boxing to 1cm thick leather foot pads.
    Tanita fat analysing scales,
Ab, exerciser (one of those rolling contraptions)

and last but not least leg/ankle weights.

Any body else got exercise gear from a by-gone era or maybe constrcted some of your own for a specific purpose??

And I wonder why I get bollocked for collecting rubbish!

I got a bullworker from somebody who didn't want it. Now I understand why...
I often stuff my rucksack full of heavy stuff for weighted exercise. | still consider this to be a useful training aid.
    Purple plastic dumbells...

I just got some wrist and ankle weights, they're bloody useless and i managed to smash a lamp at the other end of the room when one of the ankle weight's straps snapped.

    But whats a bullworker?

a bullworker is a stupid piece of plastic with a stupid spring in it with stupid handles at each end connected to the stupid spring. It, like other strength machines, only resists effort in two dimensions. It also sucks compared to a barbell with weights! Bah!

Andy Murray Sadly passed away. Rest In Peace.

    PVC leg stretchers.
The ones you sit on the floor and pull your feet apart with.
    Appearing on E-Bay soon. :D

Oh right so a bullworker is one of those sets of 3 or more springs joining two handles, except that a bullworker has a below average IQ for a piece of exercise equipment.

fortunately, I am a loveable dumbass, so people with useless equipment always give it to me so I can try it without actually spending any money on it.
The only thing worth buying is a barbell and lots of weights.
    trust me.

I've got a rather funky one that's actually done my abs some good.

It's a contraction more than one of the sprign type expansion affairs. Looks a bit like a high tech bow and arrow!!

it looks like a wedge to stop your back lying on the floor during sit-ups, a bar to keep your knee properly bent and a set of handles incase you cant do a sit-up. Or am i over analysing?

    !!!!!

I have one of those!!!!!!!!! Is it any good? :D

no. I can't say it any more politely than that. The situp thing is meant to provide a bar for you to push agaisnt with your legs, eliminating your hip flexors. I'm dubious.

On a more balanced note: the bullworker does in fact provide resistance for you to work against. I just don't think it's a very worthwhile thing to be doing with your time when you could be having much more fun doing bodyweight exercises.
