    Hi,
I am not very familiar with Ryukyu kobudo and I'm wondering how common it was to use a tonfa together with nunchaku as shown here:

He's got good coordination, but it's still a heap of bovine feces.

Saw some of the related videos as well. Their kenjutsu is something akin to a mentally disabled gibbon waving a stick. Also, if they are supposed to be doing kumitachi, why the hell is the instructor using a steel sword, while the student is using a bokuto? Safety parameters anyone?

    Offal......er, I mean awful!

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtYLLy3Tp50]Or even better, compare it to the real thing[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYjFpb1G4D4]And even more of it[/ame]

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqrk8yeIZ-E]Or how about some real Ryukyu Kobudo?[/ame]

I've seen some sai/tonfa kata before, not sure if they're authentic though. I found them pretty silly looking myself.
Also, I saw the tonfa/nunchaku combination in a kungfu movie (Shaolin Challenges Ninja). It was pretty silly looking too.

This is being discussed at another forum - and hopefully sorted out soon.

Like I said on other forums - that was disgraceful.

After all his posturing and pretense of greatness, he visits the forum and mouths off like a 18-yr-old hormonal kid.

I guess we needed to see that for ourselves...

and now the legal threats, although i see nothing in that thread apart from resonable question might be a good idea to choose words carefully.

Sadly, works Net Nannie filter wont let me get to the 'Bullshido' website so I can't glory in the posts revealing the 'facts' behind the 'certificates' of this particular case.

A shame as it seems it could be quite entertaining.

I've had a nose through the thread at 'Martialartscafe' and have formed my own opinion on the matter (no prizes for guessing which way I'd vote if I was called to Jury Service in this case :D).

    Yes, very low.

But who cares? Another bloody fraudulent kobudo "master" with delusions of grandeur. No grace, no compromise, no adult behavior, no diplomatic skills and no manners. Not to mention the fact that the "sokey dokey" won't even meet or talk with outsiders off-forum to prove his credentials and lineage (legally, not physically). The square peg has fit into the square hole.

Why is it the UK is full of these boyos?
