Hmm and interesting rumor is going around. Antonio Tarver might move up to the heavweight division and his first opponent might be.... "Iron" Mike Tyson! It seems Tyson is looking for more money and Tarver after finishing work on Rocky VI seems that Tarver would like to go against the former champ. If it happens, it will make an interesting heavweight clash. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=5328&more=1
Remind me. Why do I want to see Tyson give up again? Poor guy is so broke he'll take any fight just to earn a buck, and try to sleepwalk his way through it. I wish he could find something better to earn money.
Good God, please no. You might as well have Ali come out of retirement. Tyson is as done as done, and he only discredits his once remarkable career by continuing to fight. It's not quite as bad to witness as Holyfield, because Tyson is a horrible person. But he's only still a drawer of crowds because of the freak show factor. We can't help but admire the downward spiral of what was once a remarkable athlete, and hundred millionare and a pop icon. Nor can we help but wonder if he'll bite someone's face off or gouge out an eye. After the fight he'll hug them and tell him he loves him and act almost human. And that's the real show, a psychological thriller, the only goal of which is to figure out just how um, messed up and broken and vicious this man is. I'll admit it was thrilling for a time, but I'm tired of it. Let the poor freak fade away. He has to live with himself, that's damnation enough.
LOL! Tarver v.s. Tyson... Jeez - Tarver did put a hurtin' on Roy Jones Jr. in their second bout... but didn't KO him... and Tyson is a lot meaner and a whole lot heavier than Roy Jones Jr... Then again - Tyson is nowhere near his former self... oh nevermind.
lol no, at least you're trying slip. Tyson is still my faveorite. After his last match I wasen't too happy. If he could win this, he could end on a good note.
aw man. Mike Tyson's no angel, don't get me wrong, but I honestly feel like he's the most manipulated human being on the planet. I wish he could just retire with a little bit of dignity, but it's lookin like that's not gonna happen. Maybe he could open a gym and be a trainer or something. Sigh.
Great suggestion. I wish I had said it first. And no, I'm not particularly interested in seeing Tyson box professionally again. What a sad loss. I sure hope the young'uns take note of his life and learn from his mistakes.
I heard he had been moving into the porn industry to make money, I'd really rather I didnt have to watch him in either professions!
He could really be... ermm... coming out of retirement. Wait... I won't go there... I know the sin bin lurks not far off of that route.
What do you mean no? Tarver didn't put a hurtin' on Roy Jones Jr.?!?! Tyson doesn't outweigh Tarver by a large margin?!? Korp you need to brush up on your fights and fighters I'd say.
I think he just stayed in too long after he should have retired from the sport. You can only be great for so long no matter who you are. Then you just start getting sad.
I doesn't think he sucks. He needs to retire on a good note, not on a bad note like losing to a monster with no style.
