This is for those out there who are of a certain age..... Who was the best transformer and why? Personally i liked Jazz...the Porche.....

Damn I wish they would put the old transformers back on so I would have something to watch while avoiding uni. But back then I would have said Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime, just because he was so cool. I can't remember much of them though and I know that towards the end there were some awesome new ones that came out and they rocked. Star scream was a crack up, I loved the whole legion aspect of the decpticon's major weapon construction boyz and can anyone remember the name of the planet eater in the movie (I really should know these things)
I had an Orange and gray one, but I can't remember what it was called. My brother had a red one that turned into a car or something like that. I can't remember what that was called either. What an invaluable contribution to this post
Your brothers one might have been sideswipe (god I'm sadder than GG, and thats harder ). I like the decepticon Bludgeon, cause he had a Katana.
Got to be either Sideswipe or Ravage. The orange and white one was probably Sunstreaker. How sad is it that I remember that. Ah who cares, transformers were great and still are, hence my avatar!
Away you go, in the eternal battle between good and evil, the heroic autobots will ultimately be victorious. In fact they actually have been beaten in the newly launched comic series. Just to let you know, I'm still working on the answer to where Prime's trailer really goes....
Just hired out the movie and watched it. Ah the memories. Bring on the cool eighties techno. That first track when the Decptacons are stealing the shuttle sounds so familiar, its ****ting me that I can't figure it out. and in the fight between Optimus and Megatron, Optimus pulls off the best grappling hip throw - its awesome. "Bah nah wah na weep ninny bahn" Oh the junk bots are so cool. Oh and Springer (one of the first with multiple transforms - green helicopter/car) had a katana too. Aparantly the new cartoon series is crap. Bad Anime drawings (I like Anime but prefered the old style) and kiddy style story. OMG they actually swore in the movie - I couldn't believe it - Spike(human dude) says "****". The fight between SoundWave's tapes and Blaster's tapes was cool as well. hehe better go watch it again.
Prime`s trailer went to subspace, I`m sikc of telling you this Tintin! Best transformer had to be Jazz, I`m with you GG.
